SLCC Professor Shows Bias toward Plural Families

A man in Cedar City was arrested for making threats on social media to kill polygamist shoppers at the local grocery store before committing suicide by the police.

2019 DCCS High School Graduation Rates Continue to Surpass Utah and US

For many years, DCCS High School graduation rates for men and women have surpassed the rates of the surrounding population in Utah, as well the US.  2019 was no exception. DCCS members' on-time graduation rate for the year was 91.2% compared to Utah's 87.4% and the United States' 84.16%.

Lawsuit Targets DCCS Members for using FAFSA for Student Aid

Mary and Bryan Nelson filed a lawsuit May 2019 in Federal court alleging DCCS leaders and members followed a pattern of fraud when applying for federal student aid through the FAFSA program.  DCCS members deny the allegations, calling them baseless and contradictory.

Mexican cartels attack women and children in Northern Mexico, killing 9

DCCS Responds to CBS 'Whistleblower' claims

Bryan Nelson and Mary Nelson appeared on an episode of CBS' "Whistleblower" making allegations of fraud, improper financial and business practices, incest, underage marriages, and more. Bryan, a non-member, began a relationship with Mary against her parents wishes when she was 16 and Bryan was 26.

18 year old foils a car jacking attempt to protect her younger siblings

April 18, 2019

18 year old Joanna Kingston faced a scary situation in South Salt Lake when an enraged man pulled her from her vehicle and attempted to carjack her with her 3 younger siblings, ages 9, 10, and 12, inside the vehicle.
