The announcement moves most of the State from Moderate Risk (Orange) to Low Risk (Yellow) starting this Saturday, May 16th. The move further opens up local businesses and allows groups of up to 50 people to gather in social interactions.
The Utah Department of Health has updated it's guidelines for church gatherings as part of gradual easing of COVID-19 restrictions. Maj. Gen. Jeff Burton states, "However, the one nonnegotiable stipulation is the 6-foot social distancing required by the CDC".

Governor Herbert signed SB 102 into law on Saturday. The bill reduces the crime of bigamy among consenting adults to an infraction. Bigamy under false pretenses remains a felony as well as bigamy when done in consort with a list of other crimes, most of which must rise to a felony themselves.

President Trump has taken steps to suspend travel from most of Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.
