Feds approached State agencies in Utah to target DCCS members for fraud investigations, they didn't find any

February 10, 2018

In 2016, multiple agencies in the State of Utah were approached by the federal government to investigate law abiding DCCS members for fraud.  This was done in a “guilt by association” campaign by Federal agencies because some of the defendants in the Washakie Renewable Energy fraud case are members of the DCCS.  No fraud was found among the general DCCS population.

It would be socially unacceptable for this to occur for any other religion or lifestyle, but these types of campaigns continue to be brought against the DCCS.  Adult members who have no connection to the WRE case were audited at a rate 9.5 times higher than the average population in 2016, 2017 and 2018 with no pattern of fraud being found.  This is blatant government discrimination against an entire community based on unfair bias.
