In an email reported to dccsociety.org, USCB Board Chairman Bryan Bowles and Vice Chair Cynthia Philips announced the resignation of SCSB Executive Director Jennifer Lambert.
The email states, “The board wishes to express its gratitude to Director Lambert for her many years of dedicated service.... She has taken the SCSB from a fledgling to a progressive institution.... We wish her the very best in all her future endeavors.”
Sources say Lambert had been the center of a number of controversies including the decision to remove Vanguard Academy’s entire school board due to their association with the DCCS and to place the school on probation in August of 2022. Dccsociety.org investigations suggest Lambert was in close contact with anti-plural community and religious activists during the time the decisions were made regarding Vanguard Academy.
The embattled executive director did not attend the most recent meeting on June 8th, citing “medical concerns” when the school was removed from its probationary status.
Lambert’s resignation marks the end of a 7-year career at the Utah State Charter School Board.
